BURNABY, B.C. (March 13, 2017) – The 2017 Georgie Awards® winners were announced on Saturday, March 11, at the 25th Anniversary Georgie Awards® Gala in Vancouver.
The winners were announced by emcee Todd Talbot, co-host of Love It or List It Vancouver, in front of a sold-out crowd of more than 600 industry professionals. The silver anniversary event featured entertainment by DESTINEAK and Westcoast Contortion & Acrobatics, a seated dinner, and a masquerade-themed after-party.
The Georgie Awards® are an annual awards program presented by the Canadian Home Builders’ Association of British Columbia. The awards are recognized provincially and nationally as a premier housing awards program that highlights excellence in home building and renovation in the province.

Canadian Home Builders’ Association of BC members submitted entries from across the province. Entries were built, renovated, developed, created and/or marketed between January 1, 2015 – September 30, 2016. The finalists and winners were selected by a panel of out-of-province industry professionals. The categories in the Georgie Awards® represent the diverse aspects of the industry, including new residential construction, renovation, marketing and energy-efficiency.
