For the first time in 18 months, HAVAN excited to welcome members IN-PERSON to the November Dinner Meeting + Awards Night on Wednesday, November 3 from 5:15 – 8:00 p.m. at the Riverway Clubhouse in Burnaby.
Please note: In compliance with Provincial Health Officer orders, all attendees must show their fully vaccinated status via the Vaccine Passport and a piece of government identification to gain entry to this event. All guests must wear their masks while indoors, except when seated at their dinner tables. Guests are not permitted to mingle between dinner tables.**
The evening is presented by BC Housing, and Federated Insurance.
Our special guest speaker is Mayor Linda Buchanan from the City of North Vancouver, who will be talking on The Power of People-Oriented Places: Building Communities Everyone Can Call Home. It is also an important evening as HAVAN presents the Leadership Awards, Rooftopper Awards, and Membership Milestones to the deserving recipients. First Course: Sautéed Garlic Prawns Salad Tuscan green salad with candied pecan, dried cranberry, feta and sundried tomato & oregano vinaigrette dressing Second Course: STEAK 7oz Angus Beef Steak, Yukon gold garlic mashed potatoes, handpicked seasonal vegetables - or - QUINOA STUFFED ROASTED RED PEPPER with balsamic glaze & market vegetables (vegetarian) Dessert: Assorted Chef’s selection, buffet style Premium coffee and teas Remember that PHO guidelines state that mingling between tables is not permitted, so get to know the others sitting around your table.

Mayor Linda Buchanan
City of North Vancouver Mayor Linda Buchanan is serving her first term as Mayor and has been on Council for 10 years. Linda is a strong supporter of improving the quality of living for residents through people-oriented services, public spaces, economic development, infrastructure, and arts. Prior to being elected Mayor, Linda was a public health nurse on the North Shore for nearly 30 years. She is a champion for an inclusive and healthy community with a vision to make the City of North Vancouver ‘The Healthiest Small City in the World.’
