BURNABY, BC (March 02, 2015) – British Columbia’s residential construction industry was celebrated in Vancouver on Friday February 27, by honouring the best and brightest of B.C.’s home building and renovation community at the 23rd Annual Georgie Awards® Gala, held at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver Hotel.
Presented by the Canadian Home Builders’ Association of BC (CHBA BC), the Georgie Awards® highlight how our province’s residential construction industry continues to raise the bar of excellence, skill and professionalism throughout B.C. With the increase in submissions, this year’s awards attracted many inspirational and high-calibre projects, challenging the esteemed judging panel from outside B.C. Winners were chosen with objectivity and anonymity during a three-day judging process.
“This year’s Georgie Awards® winners showcase the imagination and ingenuity that resides and flourishes within our province.” said CHBA BC CEO Neil Moody. “The increase in submissions as well as attendees at the gala demonstrates the vitality of the residential construction industry in our province and I want to extend my congratulations to all the winners on a job well done.”
The Georgie Awards® Gala, emceed by Wayne Cox, was nearly sold out with over 500 distinguished guests and residential stakeholders in attendance. Performances by DESTINEAK as well as the 007 After Party and Dance were well received and went into the early morning hours.
