The energy efficiency requirements for residential homes are changing in December of this year. The BC Building Code will include a new section 9.36 with various insulation and mechanical requirements as well as options for designers and builders on how to conform. Building Smart #19 will explore these new requirements through practical examples.

- Compares prescriptive vs. trade-off paths
- Describes below-grade assembly requirements
- Provides calculation examples of ceiling, wall, fenestration and door areas
