For most people, the concept of ‘home’ has always conveyed a special significance: family, comfort, stability, certainty — values that have become even more important as the world hunkers down in the face of the COVID-19 crisis. Homes have become school rooms, workplaces, playgrounds and sanctuaries of safety.
This focus on home made the recent (19 June) Homebuilders Association Vancouver (HAVAN) Awards for Housing Excellence especially significant as the association changed its usual gala format to celebrate its 11th annual awards as an online event.
