Our clients tasked us with improving the functionality of their home while embracing their “eclectic maximal” aesthetic. We removed demising walls and softened corners to improve flow between the rooms. All rooms had creative usage of materials and interior finishes, sourced from around the world, with installation completed by master craftsmen. In the kitchen we relocated the gas cooktop & venting to the island and added a large bar seating area. The jewel of the primary ensuite was a 100% custom round pillar vanity with double concrete sinks. Tilework was especially challenging, taking uneven handmade porous clay tiles and making them suitable for installation, including complex mitering to achieve curved edge profiles. A custom pocket keyhole door with inset seeded glass separated the gym and meditation room. The finished home met the client’s aesthetic perfectly while keeping up with modern best practices in construction techniques.
