Tell us about yourself & your company?
Fizzah: I’m the creative force at FizzaHarris Designs, where we’ve been crafting unique experiences for residential and commercial clients about three years. From renovations to custom homes that break the mold, we’re all about making spaces both functional and unforgettable. Based in Coquitlam, we’ve sprinkled our magic locally and even ventured into the US and UK.
How did you get into the residential construction industry?
Fizzah: With the love for residential design, I kicked off my career after formal training as an architect at one of Pakistan’s top universities. Starting at an architectural firm, I immersed myself in designing and overseeing small to mid sized residential projects, learning the ropes while establishing connections and networking in the field. Beyond the office, I lent my skills to friends and family, assisting with their small renovations, additions, and custom home designs. That’s the journey through which I gradually flourished in the industry!
What keeps you in the industry?

Fizzah: In the past year, I’ve actively contributed to my community through various avenues. As a dedicated volunteer with the Pakistan Western Canada Trade Association (PWCTA), I have been playing a key role in fostering connections between local businesses and those in Pakistan, facilitating partnerships and contributing to mutual growth. Additionally, I joined the Vancouver Heritage Foundation, where I’ve been actively engaging with and learning more about our city’s rich architectural heritage. It’s been a rewarding experience connecting with both local and international communities, big and small, and I look forward to continuing these efforts.
