Representing over 1,100 members, we’ve been a trusted voice in the homebuilding industry since 1974. Our members include builders, developers, renovators, designers, suppliers, trades, and professionals — the people who build over 65% of Metro Vancouver’s homes.
As a not-for-profit association, we bring people together — connecting industry and consumers through education, resources, and shared opportunities. We work closely with government to promote smart policy, with a focus on housing solutions that meet the region’s growing needs.

HAVAN TURNS 50!
April 2024 HAVAN turned 50 and we produced a commemorative Magazine in partnership with Canada Wide Media, and writer Susan M Boyce. Since 1974, HAVAN has championed advocacy, education, and connection, led by a team of dedicated board members and Committee/Council Chairs, and supported by passionate members, volunteers, staff, and industry partners. This special edition highlights our industry impact, charitable initiatives, and a timeline of milestones through the decades. It’s a celebration of the people, progress, and purpose that continue to shape HAVAN and the homes our members build.
