Jonathan Meads, Chair
Vice President, Streetside Developments, the multi-family division of the Qualico Group
Jonathan is Vice President of StreetSide Developments, the multi-family division of the Qualico Group. Jonathan has held the post for five years. StreetSide has been building townhomes, low and high-rise condos, and mixed-use projects in the lower mainland for over 10 years but is part of a company that has been building for 75 years.
Jonathan has over 25 years of experience in real estate development and construction. Prior to becoming VP Jonathan was Senior Development Manager for 2+ years, after 11 years with Concert Properties. He has worked in both Canada and the UK, with experience in wood, concrete, and steel residential and commercial construction. Jonathan holds a Diploma in Building Studies, a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Building Surveying, is a Chartered Surveyor, and holds his LEED AP designation. Jonathan has been a member of various HAVAN, UDI, and municipal committees for many years and remains engaged with BC Housing and other government bodies. He is passionate about building better buildings and continual learning.
Kevin Hatch, 1st Vice Chair
Owner and President - Twin Lions Contracting Ltd.
Kevin laid the foundation for Twin Lions Contracting over 15 years ago as a general contractor, creating meaningful relationships and earning a reputation for perfection, one client at a time. From the beginning, he also made an important corporate commitment to support the community in which he was raised and still calls home.
As the founder and President, Kevin has guided Twin Lions through steady growth, shaping a team culture rooted in integrity, collaboration, and genuine care for clients. Under his leadership, Twin Lions has been recognized with top regional awards, including Custom Home Builder of the Year at the 2025 CHBA BC Georgie Awards, as well as Custom Home Builder of the Year and Residential Renovator of the Year at the 2025 HAVAN Awards, achievements that reflect the team’s dedication to quality, service, and innovation.
As a Red Seal carpenter, BIV Top Forty Under 40 recipient, and serial entrepreneur, Kevin has spent the last 15 years driving growth and learning important lessons along the way. He lives by the adage, “If you’re not having fun, you’re doing it wrong.”
Cheri Stefanucci, 2nd Vice Chair
Vice President, Abstract Homes and Renovations
Cheri was born in Vancouver, then shortly after moved and was raised in North Burnaby.
Once married to Sandro, they moved to Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows area where they began their business and raised their two daughters. In 1994 Cheri worked hard to attain her Real Estate license and sold real estate for 51/2 while continuing to help Sandro with their business, then in 2011, they moved back to Vancouver and Cheri joined Sandro full-time in the business.
As Vice President of Abstract Homes and Renovations, she is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth business activities, and providing a strategic vision for the company’s growth and development.
Apart from her role at Abstract Homes, Cheri actively participates in the Homebuilders Association Vancouver (HAVAN). She has served one year on the Board of Directors and sits on two Board sub-committees. She is past chair of the Membership Committee, which involved helping to coordinate membership-related activities and ensuring the association’s growth and engagement with its members. Additionally, she is an active member of the Marketing and Communication Committee, where she contributes her knowledge and skills to enhance the association’s promotional efforts as well as serves on the HAVAN Awards Task Force Committee.
Her dedication and contributions to HAVAN were recognized when she received the prestigious ‘Associate Award of Honour’ in 2016. This award acknowledges her countless hours of hard work and commitment to the association, further solidifying her reputation as a respected and valued member.
Chris Mould, Treasurer

Chris is a member of MNP’s Private Enterprise Services group in Surrey. With a special focus on the Real Estate, Construction, and Manufacturing industries, Chris helps owner-managed businesses minimize tax exposure, increase their profits, and improve operations.
Drawing on more than 20 years of experience, Chris works with clients that have complex corporate structures, are tax driven, and seek practical solutions. He helps with accounting and assurance, tax planning and compliance, and connecting clients with the firm’s broad-based expertise when they need specialized advice and services.
An excellent communicator, Chris educates clients about issues and clearly explains their options so they can make informed decisions and structure their business affairs efficiently. With a deep understanding of guidelines and procedures, he demonstrates a high level of productivity and acute attention to detail, which translates into strong working relationships and added value for clients.
Chris obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Kwantlen Polytechnic University in 2003. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CA) in 2006.
Committed to his community, Chris is the Treasurer for HAVAN (Homebuilders Association of Vancouver) and a soccer coach for Langley United Soccer. He has also volunteered for the Surrey Board of Trade, including being the Past Chair of the Finance and Taxation committee (2017 to 2023), and is past Treasurer for Peninsula Productions Society and Just Beginnings Flowers Society.
Alisa Aragon-Lloyd, Immediate Past Chair

Alisa is the founder and CEO of Bridgestone Financing Pros, offering personal and business funding solutions to individuals, families, builders, renovators, and developers with large and small projects. Alisa’s passion is creating financial independence through real estate. With over 14 years of experience with renowned companies such as Polygon Homes, Ledingham McAllister, The Quigg Group, Pinnacle International, Maverick Real Estate, and Hollyburn Properties, she brings a wealth of expertise and experience to the table.
In 2010, Alisa transitioned into the world of finance as a licensed mortgage expert and quickly gained a reputation for her innovative problem-solving skills and strategic thinking, finding creative solutions with sound strategies. She regularly contributes to the New Home & Condo Guide and is a past monthly contributor to the Real Estate Weekly (REW.ca). She has been an expert panelist with BC Housing, CMHC (Canadian Mortgage & Housing Corporation), and Fortis. Alisa has been an active member of Homebuilders Association Vancouver (HAVAN) since 2012 and she is a Director on the Board and is the Past Chair of the Supplier Council, past Vice Chair of the Membership Committee, and part of the Golf Committee. She won Supplier Member of the Year for 2016, Rooftooper of the Year – Supplier in 2015, 2016, and 2017, and Volunteer of the Year in 2014, 2018, and 2022.
Not only does Alisa excel in her professional endeavors, but she also dedicates her time to giving back to the community. She volunteers at numerous HAVAN events and passionately teaches high school students about financial literacy in the classroom.
Barb Silverthorn, Director
Co-founder, Capture Energy
In 2011, Barbara co-founded an energy advising business, which evolved into Capture Energy in 2013. As Head of Operations, she focuses on management, government, and efficiency program relations, while also developing their team of energy advisors. Barbara is a Registered Energy Advisor, HRAI F280 Heat Loss Designer, a Level One Thermographer, and an Integrated Design Facilitator. She is currently pursuing certification as a Certified Passive House Consultant A dedicated HAVAN member for over a decade, Barbara actively contributes to the Renovation Council and the Women’s Council. Her passion for building science and education is evident in her participation as a panel member for various HAVAN educational initiatives for both Builders and Renovators as well as homeowners.
Ben Nishi, Director
Regional Energy Solutions Manager - FortisBC
Ben Nishi is the Senior Manager of Commercial Accounts for FortisBC. Ben manages an energy portfolio of $400 million which includes industry sectors such as social housing, market housing, health care office buildings, education, and municipal facilities in both gas and electricity portfolios. His responsibilities include the implementation and execution of energy efficiency for these sectors, as well as the execution of the low carbon fuels program such as the renewable gas program.
Ben has been a member of the CHBA Fraser Valley Board of Directors for 3 years, a member of the CHBA BC Government Relations Committee for 5 years and has been credited with the Innovative Energy Solutions award from the Energy Solutions Center in 2016.
Bertine Stelzer, Director
Policy Specialist and Industry Partnership Lead, BC Hydro
Bertine Stelzer is a Policy Specialist and Industry Partnership Lead with BC Hydro’s Market Transformation Team. Over the past eight years in this role, Bertine has initiated and led strategic industry partnerships and programs aimed at equipping professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to successfully implement the BC Energy Step Code and other energy management codes and standards across the province. In addition, Bertine has served as a liaison for the home building and development industry in BC over the past two years, supporting communication around utility processes, standards, and guidance to enable faster and more cost-effective electrical connections. She is passionate about helping industry partners achieve market readiness for upcoming code changes and works closely with stakeholders to identify barriers and opportunities in education, training, and communication that support long-term market transformation. Bertine holds a Master’s degree in Sustainability Economics and Management from Carl von Ossietzky University in Oldenburg, Germany. Originally from Berlin, she moved to Canada in 2010 and currently lives on Bowen Island with her husband and two sons.

Jamie Banfield, Director

Jamie Banfield, founder and principal designer at Jamie Banfield Design Inc. in Port Moody, is a distinguished leader in the design and construction industry. Recognized as one of North America’s top 30 industry leaders by the National Kitchen & Bathroom Association, Jamie’s expertise and passion for design have been evident throughout his career.
At Jamie Banfield Design Inc., Jamie and his team are dedicated to creating spaces that are both beautiful and functional, tailored to each client’s unique needs. Over the past decade, the firm has evolved from a team of interior designers into a full-service operation specializing in permitting and building design for large-scale renovations and custom homes across Western Canada.
Jamie’s extensive experience in the field is complemented by his active involvement in industry organizations. He has previously served as the President of the NKBA British Columbia Chapter and is currently a co-chair of the HAVAN Design Committee and the House Committee for the Vancouver Club. Jamie Banfield is deeply passionate about education and knowledge-sharing. He was an industry instructor for Vancouver Community College’s Interior Design Certificate Program from 2015 to 2021, and mentored two members of his team through the Passive House Design Program(CPHD). Jamie’s commitment to education extends beyond the classroom; he actively educates homeowners and end-users through speaking engagements at consumer and industry shows across North America and contributes to local, national, and international publications.
Outside of his professional life, Jamie enjoys traveling with his partner Brett, immersing himself in new cultures, foods, and experiences. At home, he is a bit of an introvert who treasures quality time with their puppy, Polly.

Liam Robertson, Director

Mark Cooper, Director

Raised on the North Shore in an artistic family, Mark discovered his passion for construction while attending Carson Graham High School in the 80’s. He later pursued formal training, graduating from the BCIT Construction Program.
With over three decades of experience as a journeyman carpenter and home construction contractor, Mark founded Shakespeare Homes in the early 1990s. His career path also led him to play a pivotal role in launching a successful high-tech company, which became the top seller in North America and collaborated with Fortune 500 companies. This experience equipped Mark with both the financial acumen and the business foresight to navigate the complexities of the construction industry with confidence.
A longstanding member of the Homebuilders Association Vancouver (HAVAN) and its past Chairman, Mark currently serves as a Board Director and Chairs HAVAN’s Custom Renovators and Home Builders Council. He actively contributes to the association’s seminars, technical committee and training sessions, consistently staying ahead of industry innovations.
Mark is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of construction professionals. He regularly supports school district construction programs, offering site-progress tours for high school students. His areas of expertise include advanced building science, geotechnical engineering, stormwater management, and energy-efficient construction. As a certified Built Green builder and a licensed BC Energy Step Code professional, Mark ensures sustainability remains a core focus in every project.
Matt Robinson, Director
Owner, Monarch Floor & Window Coverings
Matt Robinson started Monarch Floor and Window Coverings in April 2008. The vision was to start a company that brought the showroom experience right to people’s homes and offices. With the focus on a higher level of customer service, the company has experienced continuous growth with a large part due to work within the HAVAN. Before starting Monarch Floor and Window Coverings, he was the General Manager of Operations for Certa Pro Painters responsible for operations on the West Coast of the US and Western Canada. This experience exposed him to a wide range of markets and business practices. Prior to that, he was the General Manager for College Pro Painters in BC.
He is the past Chair of the U40 Committee and past Quartermaster of the Renovation Council. Matt has won HAVAN’s Supplier of the Year Award for two separate years. Matt grew up in Gibsons on the Sunshine Coast and has lived in different parts of Vancouver for the last 21 years. He has a degree in Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia.
Meredith Yuen, Director

Originally from San Diego, Meredith graduated from UC Berkeley before moving to Vancouver to take over Marino GC, a second-generation family construction company, with her partner, Steven. With over 10 years of experience, she oversees day-to-day operations, manages projects, and guides the strategic vision of the company. She has filled several roles through the company’s growth and transition to ensure its continued success.
Meredith has been an active HAVAN member since 2016, serving as Chair and Vice Chair of the Women’s Council. Through the HAVAN Women’s Council, she has contributed to a wide range of initiatives and industry activities. Through her leadership, she has championed opportunities for women in construction and strengthened engagement and connection within the community. In addition to her work with the Women’s Council, Meredith is a HAVAN Representative for the CHBA National Women in Residential Construction Committee (WIRCC).
With her experience in business operations, strategic planning, and industry advocacy, Meredith is committed to supporting HAVAN’s mission and bringing a collaborative, forward-looking perspective to the Board of Directors.
Rick Mann, Director

Rick Mann is an accomplished real estate professional with more than 18 years of experience in development and construction. As Director of Development and Construction at IOM Property Group, he leads strategic growth initiatives, oversees acquisitions, and delivers multi-family and commercial projects that prioritize quality, sustainability, and community impact. His career journey—from on-site roles to senior leadership—gives him a comprehensive understanding of the industry and a proven ability to align technical expertise with business strategy.
Beyond his professional role, Rick is a dedicated advocate for housing and community development. He served as a Director of the Surrey Board of Trade, where he also chaired the Development & Land Use Committee, and is the current Chair of the Government Relations Committee at Homebuilders Association Vancouver. He holds leadership roles with Small Housing, the Canadian Home Builders’ Association of BC, and the Urban Development Institute.
Rick’s commitment to community extends to health, philanthropy, and youth engagement through the BC Cancer Foundation, Peace Arch Hospital Foundation, UNITI, Habitat for Humanity, and coaching of youth sports. Robert Griesdale, Director

In high school, he got involved in the theatrical program construction department. It was this program that helped inspire him to renovate his family home after high school, which ignited his passion for building quality homes.
Starting as an interlocking bricklayer’s laborer, he worked through every aspect of residential construction to eventually become a lead carpenter for a custom homebuilder in Vancouver. His desire to put out the best projects using the latest energy-efficient practices and green technologies led him to realize that he could offer clients more.
Robert is a Director of Operations and a Journeyman carpenter. He uses his skills to oversee the day-to-day operations of some of Blackfish’s largest projects. He enjoys working closely with his clients and coordinating the staff, trades, and suppliers to deliver his projects on time, on budget, and beyond his client’s expectations.

Ryan Bianchini, Director
Construction Manager, Polygon Homes
Ryan brings over 15 years of expertise in construction management, specializing in multi-residential, institutional, and commercial projects across the lower mainland. Currently in his sixth year with Polygon Homes, a leading homebuilder in Vancouver, Ryan focuses on multi-family residential developments, both concrete and wood-frame.
As a Construction Manager, Ryan expertly manages all phases of the construction process, from pre-construction planning to post-construction completion. His key responsibilities include reviewing design drawings, conducting value engineering, preparing budgets and schedules, overseeing tendering and contract negotiations, monitoring construction progress, and securing occupancy permits.
Ryan earned his diploma in Architectural, Building, Engineering, and Technology, followed by a Bachelor of Technology in Construction Management with distinction from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional, reflecting his commitment to sustainable building practices.
