HAVAN with the participation of a dedicated and brave group of HAVAN HEROES raised an astounding $22,000 for the benefit of Easter Seals and Children with Disabilities.
Our group of 14 HAVAN Heroes dropped over the edge of the 25-story (328 feet) Guinness Tower, 1055 West Hastings Street, and rappelled down to the plaza below. Dressed in the appropriate Hero attire of tights, capes, and masks our team threw themselves over the parapet secured, harnessed, and hooked on to what looked liked an impossibly “thin” line, and proceeded to slide down the Tower to the plaza below.
There were knee-knocking, hold-your-breathe moments and sheer delight to have our Heroes back on ground. The Heroes’ adrenaline was pumping, and that energy was infectious throughout the HAVAN crowd!
A huge shout out to Easter Seals for hosting such an amazing event. To be given the opportunity to build industry alliances, and friendships (a few were forged rappelling that day) – all while giving back to the community, was a great opportunity. Everyone who attended or participated, walked away a little happier and taller. We already have a list of people returning and wanting to join in 2020. Wow!
