HAVAN Annual Election Meeting 2020

On Wednesday, October 7, from 12 noon – 1:00 pm, HAVAN is hosting its live online Annual Election Meeting, sponsored by Federated Insurance.

PLEASE NOTE: As this official meeting is being conducted online, registration is mandatory.  Upon registration, you will receive your unique URL.  Make sure to enter your full name and company name when registering.  If you are authorizing someone else to vote on your behalf, please download and complete the proxy form (available here) and email it back to Wendy McNeil (wendy@havan.ca) by midnight on Tuesday, October 6 (day prior to the AEM).

Guest Speaker: Kevin Lee, CEO, CHBA National
Kevin will discuss how CHBA was instrumental in ensuring our industry kept operating throughout the pandemic and how it secured changes to the Canada Emergency Business Account loan so it would support more businesses in the construction industry and across the economy.  CHBA continues to advocate that the housing and residential construction will play a key role in Canada’s economic recovery, and Kevin will talk about – addressing demand-side levers such as the stress test and re-introducing 30 year amortizations, strategically implementing tax incentives, and showing leadership to improve how we build our homes and communities.

HAVAN Annual Election Meeting
Following the guest speaker’s presentation, the Annual Election Meeting will take place, where the proposed Slate of Officers for 2020/2021 will be up for membership approval. The proposed slate will be linked here shortly.

HAVAN Heroes
We’re proud of our HAVAN Heroes who have already surpassed last year’s fundraising record!  We will be announcing the final total raised for the Easter Seals BC & Yukon (Drop Zone).
