HAVAN Heroes: 2019 Easter Seals Drop Zone

The Drop Zone was a knee-shaking, heart-pounding, adrenaline-pumping fundraising adventure that raised funds in support of Easter Seals House. On September 12, our #HAVANHeroes faced their fears by rappelling from the top of the towering 25-STOREY Guinness high-rise building in downtown Vancouver to raise much-needed funds to support children, youth and adults with diverse abilities across BC and Yukon.

Our brave HAVAN Heroes are:

HAVAN’s Ground Crew (Vanessa Swanson, Justine Nadia, Dawn Sondergaard, Renee Auer, and many HAVAN members, co-workers, family and friends – Atomic Mike’s mother-in-law flew in from the prairies for goodness sakes!) were cheering on through the pelting rain at the base of the Guinness Tower (1055 West Hastings Street, Vancouver).

The entire crew celebrated around the corner @ Mahoney & Son’s with the ‘We’re so Glad to be Alive’ after-party.

The initial target set at $10,000 was quickly raised to $15,000. Our Heroes’ donors then smashed the ceiling with total donations on the drop zone day at just over $22,000.00. Team HAVAN Heroes is currently in second place, with six members in the top 15 positions, noting  Badass Bakak is in fourth place overall!

Donations are being collected through to October 14th. Help our HEROES raise the bar and take this donation to new heights!!
