Suppliers’ Council Round Table: Payments & Contracts with Baker Newby LLP

The HAVAN Suppliers’ Council focuses on helping supplier members be better suppliers and support each other to expand our businesses. With that in mind, the council is hosting a round table event with member Adnan Habib, Baker Newby LLP. The focus is to share and learn from peers and Adnan on ways to improve your contracts and invoices within the industry – in a nutshell, preventative measures and creditor remedies. Learn what works, what doesn’t and how you can improve your strategies. The round table format is to encourage attendees to share their best practices and learn some new ones.

Baker Newby LLP is a 25-year member and Adnan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with resolving construction disputes and matters. He takes a pragmatic approach to the resolution of disputes, helping private and public owners, first nations, developers, general contractors, consultants, insurers, financial institutions, private lenders, receivers, strata corporations, subcontractors and suppliers in a wide variety of matters. Adnan is a frequent lecturer at conferences and seminars sponsored by a variety of associations including the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia, the Pacific Business and Law Institute and various chapters of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association. Attendees can expect to enjoy frank conversation and practical tips.
