HAVAN members Landa Global Properties, in partnership with Sublime Interior Design Ltd. built and designed the custom home ‘Landa’ – an award finalist for Best Room, New Construction 2019.
Landa’s clients, a young contemporary couple with traditional values wanted to reflect a blend of contemporary and traditional elements, balanced with a youthful design, and built to withstand the everyday use of an active family.
The solutions? Sublime incorporated repetition into the wall paneling design with straight lines and geometric patterns extending throughout the home to establish a masculine yet feminine balance. Calcutta Gold and Bianca marbles, designed in a custom herringbone pattern in the foyer area, are used throughout the home for continuity and harmony, along with oak engineered hardwood flooring.
Functionality of space is designed to accommodate both the rigor of everyday family life and the more elaborate formal occassions. The oversized foyer provides a welcoming space for guests on arrival, while creating a natural separation between the living and dining rooms. The central staircase allows for minimum circulation between the four floors.
