Tell us about yourself & your company?
Graeme: My House is an Award-winning Design + Build Company, focusing on residential home + condo renovations of all sizes as well as High-Performance Custom Homes. As managing director, I oversee a team of 50 people providing mentorship and leadership to other leaders and their teams.
How did you get into the residential construction industry?
Graeme: Born in Burnaby, raised in Ladner I attended Delta seconday and grew up in the performing arts in music and acting. I attended UVIC in Design + Directing for Theatre and Television and Business, then shortly after translated that same passion to Design + Build in Residential Construction.
What keeps you in the industry?
Graeme: The relationship that I have formed with staff, suppliers and clients over the years and the responsibility we provide a living for 50 families. Also, there is always something new to challenge us as we ‘Create Great Living Spaces’ for people to live.
While navigating covid-19, what new opportunities have you discovered?
Graeme: Zoom and other online platforms have allowed our team as a whole to communicate more efficiently and virtually.
It’s 11AM Saturday morning, what are you up to?
Graeme: Usually talking to clients, sharing on a Radio Broadcast or golf with our team.
What are your hobbies?
Graeme: Cooking and Wine, Golf and Travel
Proudest moment?
Graeme: Seeing my children graduate from school, university or their special endeavours, watching three of them get married and the many times we gather as a family including the grandchildren.
What have you done in your community in the last year?
Graeme: Our involvement with the Relate community services. Providing food hampers and back to school supplies to three local under priviledged public elementary schools.
Favourite HAVAN moment and why?
Graeme: Winning the Peter Simpson Award for most valuable member at the 1st annual HAVAN Association Awards.

What inspires you?
Graeme: My children and grandchildren.
What are you excited for / looking forward to right now?
Graeme: Travelling outside of B.C

Graeme: Toured with numerous Rock and Jazz artists. Designing lighting sets and sound.
