Tell us about yourself & your company?
Kiff: My name is Kiff Mowat, Owner of Davenport Homes. We build quality homes that are in reach for as many consumers as possible
How did you get into the residential construction industry?
Kiff: I got my start when my family was renovating our home on High School. I started laboring as a summer position and never looked back.
What keeps you in the industry?
Kiff: The finished product! I love to see how happy a warm, inviting comfortable home makes a family.
While navigating covid-19, what new opportunities have you discovered?
Kiff: We have discovered that anything is possible when you are focused. We were forced to pivot during the pandemic and have come out the other side unscathed.
Itâs 11AM Saturday morning, what are you up to?
Kiff: I am just getting to the park with my wife, son and beloved dog Dexter.
What are your hobbies?
Kiff: I enjoy mountain biking, playing hockey, boating and dining out!
Proudest moment?
Kiff: My sons recent 1st Bday!
What have you done in your community in the last year?
Kiff: We have continually provided support to neighbours of our projects whether it means updating them on the schedule, shovelling their walkways when it snowed, or even providing home improvement advice.
Favourite HAVAN moment and why?
Kiff: When I won my first Georgie/HAVAN Awards! It’s always been my goal since Davenports inception.
Best work perk at your job?
Kiff: I love that I get to interact with so many people from clients to trades to suppliers. It’s a lot of fun.

What inspires you?
Kiff: Improving and building on the vision I have for the future.
What are you excited for / looking forward to right now?
Kiff: I am most looking forward to Covid coming to an end and starting some really exciting projects we have in the pipeline.

Kiff: I moved every 2 years for the first 12 years of my life.

Kiff: Be calm, be patient, be persistent.
