The mandate of the MCC is to provide marketing and communication recommendations to association staff, subject to the priorities determined by the HAVAN Strategic Plan. The MCC develops strategies, discusses tactics, and provides feedback on marketing initiatives to ensure a singular tone for HAVAN, as the voice of the residential construction industry.

Committee Initiatives
In addition to providing marketing support to HAVAN’s ongoing initiatives, the focus of the MCC over the past few years has been on rebranding; HAVAN (formerly GVHBA) in 2019, the HAVAN Awards for Housing Excellence (formerly the Ovation Awards) in 2020, plus assisting with research, selection, and implementation of the new CRM, GrowthZone (2022) to improve B2B and B2C communications. The overarching goal of HAVAN’s marketing strategy is to strengthen value in membership through:
- Building consumer awareness of HAVAN’s trusted brand in support of connecting builders with homeowners as they look to custom-build, renovate, design, and purchase their homes; and
- Connecting our supplier members with the builder community in support of their consumer initiatives.
