HAVAN’s 26th annual Coats for Kids campaign, in support of the Lower Mainland and Surrey Christmas Bureaus, two groups whose many initiatives help to provide a brighter winter for low-income families, will be opening doors to collect Coats for Kids from November 9 through to December 3.
Featuring 44 HAVAN member companies providing 54 drop-off locations across 13 Metro Vancouver municipalities, people can donate new and gently used coats, scarves, gloves, blankets and new unwrapped toys and gifts for children of all ages.
To help amplify this great initiative, HAVAN member companies will gather to build and present one GIGANTIC HEARTWARMING donation to the Lower Mainland and Surrey Christmas Bureaus on Friday, December 3rd at Santa’s Workshop (aka Trail Appliances, 3388 Sweden Way, Richmond) from 8:30am to 11:00am, sponsored by Trail Appliances.
Santa’s helpers (Dick’s Lumber and Building Supplies and PoCo Building Supplies) will be onsite loading donations into the trucks for delivery to the Lower Mainland and Surrey Christmas Bureaus. Directions will be easy, thanks to Surrey Digital‘s North Pole Signage! On arrival, guests will be treated to Hot Cocoa and coffee, compliments of Designs by KS, plus Buddy the Elf’s Hot Breakfast, thanks to Townline Homes! And to keep everyone looking festive, Novero Homes and Renovations is sponsoring C4K face masks, so you can feel safe throughout the season!
Bring the kids for a photo opp with Santa, compliments of Best Builders and Miracon Development. With our very own Mike Freedman of Audio Insider onsite with his groovin’ Christmas tunes, you’ll be sure to swing into the spirit of giving.
If you attended in the past, you know handing off ONE GIGANTIC DONATION is a HEART-WARMING experience. Filled with great festivities, food, music, and fun activities, the Wrap-Up party is open for all to attend (bring your kids too), we just ask that you register in advance to help us with planning.

Clear out your family’s coats no longer in use, drop off your donations to one of the 54 convenient locations listed below, or swing by the Wrap Up party on December 3rd and take in the festivities. The goal is to collect over 10,000 items to build a mountain of coats! Help us reach our goal!
