The Homebuilders Association Vancouver (HAVAN) Honours Outstanding Achievements in Housing Excellence
Vancouver, BC – May 6, 2024: The JW Marriott Parq Hotel in Vancouver set the stage for an evening of celebration as the Homebuilders Association Vancouver (HAVAN) unveiled the winners of the prestigious HAVAN Awards for Housing Excellence on Saturday, May 4, 2024. Distinguished guests from across the industry gathered for this exclusive event, which recognized excellence in new-home construction, renovation, and design projects throughout Metro Vancouver.
The HAVAN Awards for Housing Excellence spotlight the remarkable accomplishments of the Lower Mainland’s homebuilding industry, showcasing a diverse range of housing archetypes. From awe-inspiring custom-built homes and comprehensive whole-home renovations to luxurious condos and family-oriented townhomes, the awards celebrate innovation, craftsmanship, and design excellence across the housing spectrum. This year’s event also introduced new categories, including ‘Best Multiplex Development,’ and ‘Best Multiplex Unit’ reflecting the evolving landscape of housing solutions in the region.
Ron Rapp, CEO of HAVAN, underscored the significance of the newly introduced categories, emphasizing their role in acknowledging industry leaders who are spearheading initiatives to meet evolving housing needs and new provincial policies and programs, while prioritizing energy efficiency, low carbon footprints and sustainability. “As our members collaborate with local, and provincial governments to address housing challenges, these awards highlight the professionalism, expertise, and creativity of our members ,” said Rapp. He emphasized the rigorous evaluation process conducted by a panel of award-winning builders, renovators, and designers from outside of our region, which provides consumers with invaluable insights when selecting partners for their projects.
The 15th annual awards season attracted a record-breaking 455 entries from 154 builders and designers, competing for 60 prestigious HAVAN Awards. Forty-two winners were announced, representing excellence across various categories. Notable mentions include winners for:
