When it comes to recognizing excellence, the 18 Homebuilders Association Vancouver (HAVAN) and Georgie awards nominations garnered by Zenterra Developments across multiple categories for 2024 speak volumes about the company’s outstanding delivery of multi-family residences in Metro Vancouver.

Now in its 15th year, the HAVAN Awards for Housing Excellence recognize the leading homebuilding professionals across the region’s industry. The Georgie Awards, presented annually by the Canadian Home Builder’s Association British Columbia, celebrate excellence in B.C.’s residential construction and renovation industry.

Over the past decade, Zenterra has earned a total of 26 local, provincial and national awards. This year’s nominations are “a great honour, especially considering all the other noteworthy residential developers recognized,” says Derek Fenton, vice-president of marketing and sales.

The HAVAN nominations include Zenterra’s Newbury, Camden and Windsor residences, as well as the company itself, as Multi-Family Builder of the Year. The same residences, along with The Commons, were listed as Georgie Awards finalists, with Zenterra again being nominated as Multi-Family Builder of the Year.

Zenterra has been recognized as Multi-Family Builder of the Year for 10 of the past 11 years, reflecting its consistent commitment to high quality in all of its projects. But what drives this consistency?

“It’s vitally important to our success that we do everything in-house,” says Fenton. “This includes land acquisition and development, project management, design, construction, marketing, sales and customer care. This gives us complete control of every aspect of the project — and in none of these categories have we ever cut corners.

“It’s simply good business sense to provide homeowners with the highest possible level of care and attention.”

While being recognized by their peers is an honour, the Zenterra team is primarily motivated by a passion for what they do. This is evident in their latest projects, starting with The Commons: two striking wood frame buildings in Langley’s Yorkson neighbourhood, where 199 condominiums are currently for sale.

“The homes in our long-awaited King + Crescent project are also currently selling,” says Fenton, referring to the 411-home community in South Surrey, the fourth and final phase consisting of 69 exclusive homes to be completed in late 2025.

Soon to launch from Zenterra is City Corners in Surrey City Centre, a six-storey wood frame mid-rise containing 100 unique homes ranging from entry-level studios to family-friendly two-bedroom units.

“VIP access to this project is now available,” Fenton adds.

The HAVAN Awards gala takes place on May 4, and the Georgie winners will be announced on May 25.

“This is our opportunity to thank everybody for trusting in our vision,” Fenton says. “Without their continued support, none of our successes would have been possible.”
