For immediate release
The Homebuilders Association Vancouver’s (HAVAN) podcast Measure Twice, Cut Once launches Season Two today, with an exciting episode exploring small housing solutions.
How much is enough? Jake Fry, Founder of Smallworks and Co-founder of Small Housing BC, and Richard Bell of Bell Alliance LLP, and Director of Small Housing BC know how to reconfigure a single-family home to find a variety of affordable housing solutions for families of all configurations. Listen in as co-hosts Mike and Jennifer-Lee hear about creative ideas for affordable single-family home ownership in Metro Vancouver.
“There’s something very homey and emotionally reinforcing about living in an 800 sq ft 2-bedroom laneway home at ground level and being able to step outside, vs living in a 1,000 sq ft on the 12th floor,” Jake Fry, Founder of Smallworks and Co-founder of Small Housing BC.
‘When you have well designed neighbourhoods with housing choice, communities flourish. You start to have corner stores, schools that are better populated, livability. It’s important to let politicians know that small housing solutions such as laneways and coach homes are a safe choice.’ Ron Rapp, CEO, HAVAN
Packed with resources including co-ownership agreements and pre-approved design plans, be sure to check out Season Two’s premier launch episode Just Enough and discover alternative solutions for affording housing choices. It just might make you rethink, how much is enough for me?
