In case you missed the original announcement last week, we announced that Ron Rapp, HAVAN CEO, stepped down to focus on his health and family.
As many of you know, over the past ten months, Ron has been courageously battling acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), including undergoing a stem cell transplant, while maintaining an active role as CEO. His leadership, vision, and dedication have laid a strong foundation that will continue to benefit HAVAN and the industry for decades. Ron’s presence at HAVAN will be deeply missed, and we wish him all the best as he prioritizes his health.
Thank you to everyone who has shared words of support and encouragement to Ron and the HAVAN team. For those wishing to reach out to Ron, please do so via email, as he will not be available for phone calls or in-person meetings.
We appreciate the understanding and support during this transition. As always, the HAVAN staff are committed to upholding the high standards and values that Ron has instilled in us.
RENOMARK 2.0: VERIFICATION SYSTEM LAUNCHES JULY 8
It’s official — The transfer of the RenoMark program from BILD-GTA to CHBA is now complete. CHBA is ready to launch the much-anticipated RenoMark online verification system on July 8.
The verification system is an online tool that makes it simple to register for the RenoMark program and provide the documentation required in the Code of Conduct. Renovators, Trade Contractors and existing RenoMark members will receive an invitation soon to complete the verification process. Once complete, RenoMark members will receive immediate access to a full suite of marketing materials to promote their designation.
Existing RenoMark members have until September 30th to complete the verification process. CHBA will be sending reminder emails to existing RenoMark members throughout the the summer, ahead of the September deadline.
CHBA’s verification process is a crucial step in enhancing the credibility of the program and establishing RenoMark as the standard in home renovation across Canada.
HAVAN continues to work with CHBA BC and CHBA to advocate for all levels of government to work together to address the challenges of the housing industry including zoning restrictions, density limits, and NIMBYism.
