The Suppliers’ Council is a diverse group of industry experts committed to advocating the principles of HAVAN and the pursuit of professional excellence.
Members help other members by providing an environment that fosters strategic relationship building, allowing for suppliers to network and exchange advice on current market challenges and opportunities, along with continuous innovation to strengthen and support HAVAN and the building industry.
Suppliers Council provides supplier members a forum to share/exchange ideas and resources; and opportunities to promote industry professionalism, while providing feedback on issues about changes in supply for products/service prices (benefit to builders and renovators).
Suppliers Council hosts one of HAVAN’s premier events, the annual Fall Classic Golf Tournament, welcoming 312 golfers and 400 banquet guests each year in support of raising funds for HAVAN’s BCIT Scholarship program to the School of Construction and the Environment. Celebrating the 25th year of the Fall Classic in 2023, total funds raised over the years have now topped $100,000!
Teeing up connections on the green, the Suppliers Council also promotes the Connection Awards to celebrate members doing business with members. Construction Socials are informal events held regularly throughout the year, offering members a chance to connect in various showrooms in a casual, social environment for peer-to-peer networking, with roundtables providing opportunities to educate and learn from each other.
