Tell us about yourself & your company?
Lucila: I switched careers 18 years ago, from doing Statistics and Market Research to becoming an entrepreneur following my passion for Interior Design. We are a turn-key Interior Design firm, and for the last 15 years our mission has been to create interiors that spark the potential of the people that inhabit them. We can oversee a project from A to Z, working from Architectural drawings all the way to placing the decorative accents in a home. As the Founder and Creative Director I get to overlook the creative process of each project, while also focusing on how to innovate and grow the company.
How did you get into the residential construction industry?
Lucila: I found the HGTV channel while doing my MBA almost 20 years ago, so I pressed the reset bottom, went to design school and started a new career from scratch.
What keeps you in the industry?
Lucila: My passion to help. I am convinced that once you allow the energy to properly flow in a space then who ever lives, works, studies, shops or walks in it will do it in a more enlightened way, as the space becomes a vehicle and not an obstacle.
While navigating covid-19, what new opportunities have you discovered?
Lucila: That we can serve more people, not only the ones that are in physically close.
Itâs 11AM Saturday morning, what are you up to?
Lucila: Walking my new dog, enjoying a cup of tea or doing laundry đ
What are your hobbies?
Lucila: Building puzzles and walking in nature
Proudest moment?
Lucila: Seeing my two kids turn into responsible adults
What have you done in your community in the last year?
Lucila: I co-created an Organization (Spark Factor Project) to help youth in need. Our goal is to increase diversity in the workforce by inspiring enthusiasm and providing resources to historically underserved youth, so that they have equitable access to career opportunities.
Favourite HAVAN moment and why?
Lucila: Coats for kids – it is a great way to give back to our local community. I am looking forward to being able to have back the physical event where we all get together and celebrate the closure of a year of work.
Best work perk at your job?
Lucila: Not having official work hours

Lucila: Nature
What are you excited for / looking forward to right now?
Lucila: Being able to travel to go see my parents
Share an interesting fact about your life?
Lucila: I learned to meditate when I was 8 years old. It has been one of the most useful tools and now I can’t start my day without meditating.
